brian mcnasby aka heights, and rob paine aka worship, are bringing their track, teach dem dub, back home to worship recordings. the dub version of the track was originally released on the portland based label zamzam sounds on 45 vinyl, and it immediately sold out. teach dem dub will be released both digitally and on vinyl by worship, and packaged with three new interpretations of the single. since its release back in january 2014, the single gained a plethora of notoriety and was reviewed on mixmag.com in the month of march. mixmag scored the track a 9 out of 10 and commended heights + worship on constructing a piece of deepness that hasnt been heard in ages.

a cut *dain* is a stripped down techno trip engineered for dancefloors at dawn: a siren call to the club’s most battle hardened heads, its subtle machinations will prove deadly in the right dj’s hands. over on the b-side, *aula* is the eps more unpredictable beast, its rougher rave edges rounded off by a rich bass synth and enigmatic vox pads that give the track an unsettling air as it nears its conclusion. xj closes the ep with an insistent slice of acid with somewhens own playful modern twist.

you would be forgiven for not knowing the newest addition to the slowly expanding claremont 56 roster. you see, there has been no recorded output from german combo bambi davidson since the release of their largely overlooked minimal post-rock debut album, el faco, in 2000. until now, that is.

tresor records is fortunate enough to be sitting on a catalogue of past releases that no other label in electronic music would turn down. three of the fi,,,nest in this collection were albums contributed by surgeon, “basictonalvocabulary”, “balance” and “force + form” all originally came out on the berlin institution between 1997 and 1999. surgeon’s inimitable combination of detroit techno and post-industrial sounds emanating from his british homeland found its fullest expression in these masterful trio of releases on tresor. the basictonal-remake 12” accompanied surgeon’s fi,,,rst tresor album in 1997, with additional versions as well as a remix by long-time birmingham collaborator mick harris.
